The Department of Labor has communicated a rule change to raise the exempt employee salary threshold from $455/week to $913/week. Responding to this change has presented challenges to the restaurant industry. For one, restaurants must better track their currently exempt salaried employees in order to comply with wage and hour FLSA regulations. In response, we are conducting this short survey to gather data on current practices for restaurant managers as well as expected changes based on the ruling.

The results will be compiled and provided in aggregate to all participants in order to help them better understand the industry practices and responses.
