The Best Practices Conference is an annual event produced by Black Box Intelligence™. For almost three decades, it has connected hospitality leaders with the most trusted benchmarking insights to fuel the restaurant experience for employees and guests.
About the Conference

Hosting this event for the executive leadership of the restaurant industry is always the highlight of our year. This unique gathering is our chance to share powerhouse research, insights and best practices that focus on the key intersection of people and profits.

It is our privilege to present some of the brightest authors, speakers and industry trailblazers to share their stories and their vision. Whether you lead Operations, HR, Marketing, Finance or IT, we hope you will join us.

The 2020 event was home to over 250 restaurant industry senior leadership and c-suite executives from marketing, operations and human resources, who gathered to share best practices, network and celebrate the Best Practices Award winners. Our 2020 winners included: BJ’s Restaurants, Ninety Nine Restaurants, Panda Restaurant Group, Silver Diner, The Capital Grille and The Wendy’s Company.

In addition, it was also the time Black Box Intelligence (formerly TDn2K) recognized industry excellence in human resource and operational performance with the Diamond Catalyst Award presented to LongHorn Steakhouse, Heart of the Workplace Award presented to Whataburger and the Workplace Legacy Award presented to Dina Barmasse and David Gordon of Dave & Busters.
